By examination: If you don't have pain most likely you have non infected pilonidal sinus, anal fistulas are associated with pain . You have to see your doctor.

Position : Pilonidal cysts are typically found in the crease between the buttocks overlying the sacrum. Anal fistulae are found around the anus. Both will have a small amount if drainage at times and both can have waxing and waning infections. Treatment of either if these problems is surgical. Ask your primary care physician hit a surgical referral.
