Need treatment: A pilonidal cyst is a growth near the anus which can become infected with an abscess formation. These never go away, and typically become more symptomatic over time. Surgical evaluation by a general surgeon or colorectal surgeon is most appropriate

Get Treated: If you have chronic, foul-smelling drainage, the cyst is infected. I would advise seeing your Surgeon for treatment.
