Swelling common: Swelling in the legs is common after a cesarean section. It usually is gone by about a week after delivery. Sit with your feet up and avoid salt. However it might be a sign of toxemia - blood pressure problems of pregnancy - or of blood clots in the legs. Call your doctor for elevated blood pressure, headaches or one leg is swollen and painful.
