A member asked:

My husbands left foot is swollen. he doesnt feel pain but his legs are kind of stiff from working long hours sitting and standing. hes 34, in good health. we both immediately were concerned about dvt. does that ever occur without pain?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

It can: DVT would be unusual in a young healthy person without risk factors (trauma, smoking, genetic factors) but it can occur with swelling & not pain so might be best to have the swelling evaluated if it persists
