Need to seek out MD: These conditions may mean a GI disorder of differing causes. Keep a diary of your bowel habits and speak to your gastro doc next week, earlier if you feel bad. Good luck!

Anxiety: You likely suffer from an anxiety disorder in which you worry a lot about your health. The problem with that is that it leads to a lot of tests that are not necessary. The consistency of stools depends on the foods you eat. If you eat foods with a lot of cellulose, like vegetables, it floats (which means your stools are actually healthy). Seek counseling because too many tests can be dangerous.

Don't worry: Floating stools likely is from eating too much gas-producing foods - broccoli , cabbage, milk , oatmeal, etc another cause would be poor absorption of nutrients in the intestine due to operation, infection, inflammation etc and oftentimes the latter would present with serious symptoms like abdominal pain, bloody stool , weight loss, loss of appetite etc happy floating !
