Lack bile salts: Bile gives stool its dark color; therefore a lack of bile can result in light colored stool. What ere you being evaluated for: better pay attention to your liver/gb bile duct.

Recent change in BM?: If your bm's are ; have been as you describe light colored/floating and you have no physical or laboratory signs of abnormalities and you have no symptoms or ailments which are either chronic or recent related to the gastrointestinal tract then, this is the way your stools are formed based upon diet, amount of heme breakdown which colors your stool etc. By all measures you are good to go- cheers.
