Post concussive: Post concussive syndrome can be accompanied by nightmares. Also, post traumatic stress disorder can cause nightmares. Other symptoms include avoidance of the perceived threat and flashbacks. Nightmares can also occur normally or as a part of other psychiatric and sleep conditions. Occasionally, medications can cause or worsen nightmares.
