See an ENT: It is more likely a coincidence that your ear is infected after you recently had oral surgery. I would make an appointment with an ear, nose, throat (ENT) doctor to make sure that this is not the sign of some other problem. You could also see your general practitioner. Having your teeth extracted will not cause an ear infection and ear wax to be coughed up.

Sinuses perhaps.: I don't think your ears and coughing up ear wax is possible. But if you had your wisdom teeth pulled...You could have a sinus perforation from when your upper ones were taken out. This feels like an earache and you could cough up crude from a sinus infection. Go see the doctor who removed them or another oral surgeon. Sinus perforations are not common...But they do happen more than thought.

May be related: There is sometimes an indirect communication of the middle ear to upper wisdom teeth if the auditory tube of the middle ear which drains to the nasopharynx , to the nasial turbinates, and the maxilarry sinus. The maxillary sinus often sits in close proximity to upper molars. I would see an ENT to rule out a persistent sinus infection.

Another Option: If all of the evaluations result in nothing evident and no impovements, then it is possible you have a tmj/muscle dysfunction spasm that will radiate to a particular ear and cause pain. For this you need to see a dentist that is very familiar with TMJ treatments.

See an oral surgeon: Have an oral surgeon examine you. There can be several causes for your condition.
