Confusing setting: It is odd that you had an ear infection so soon after extraction, but possible. The areas are physically separate & do not communicate, so there is no reason the ear issue would contaminate the sockets. One question I have if whether you have an ear infection at all. The nerves in that part of the head can give you acute or persistent ear pain from irritation in the jaw.

Not related: Dry socket is cause by loss of blood clot from extraction socket allowing bone to become infected by oral bacteria. Ear infection will not cause dry socket.
