No: I don't think you have to worry about it now. But, if your tonsil continues to be swollen up/ in the next few weeks- you may need to see your doctor and if that looks suspicious or if there is a mass/growth on the tonsil then your doctor can refer you to see an ent. Infection/inflammation on the mouth can cause enlargement of lymph node on the neck. If it persists for more than 4 weeks-see md.

Not likely : This sounds much more likely to be a normal inflammatory reaction from your cold.
