Happens in movies: I have seen this happen in movies but does not in reality. There are accupuncture techniques but they are not as magical as pinching the neck to put some body to sleep.

Vulcan techniques: I agree with dr. Younus. Atlhough I am not trained in vulcan techniques, spock's techniques would surely be much more rapid than anything i could offer as an acupuncturist.
