Treatment: Identifying the cause of neuropathy can sometimes lead to a cure. An EMG done by a doctor with an interest or subspecialty in peripheral neuropathy can help with this. Best treatments for non curable neuropathies is the anti-seizure medications.

Depends on the cause: Neuropathy is a condition resulting from abnormal nerve function. Neuropathy can be due to certain vitamin deficiencies, nerve damage due to trauma, alcohol consumption, radiation, side effects of certain medications, or due to certain medical conditions such as diabetes. Treatment varies depending on the cause of the problem. Have it evaluated and appropriately treated.

Not new but maybe : Make certain that your docs have determined why you possess a neuropathy as there is always a reason, just may take time to pin down in some cases. If drugs such as cymbalta, gabapentin, lyrica, (pregabalin) have been tough to tolerate, why not try a medical food, metanx bid, which may in the end help. But this approach could take 6-12 months to work out.
