A member asked:

Does peripheral neuropathy affect both feet at the same time, or usually start with 1 and progress to the other?

Usually both: Because neuropathy is a systemic condition, it typically will involve both feet. The two main exceptions are that in its very earliest stages it may begin in one foot that then usually pretty quickly involves the other; or there is another condition in the one leg that lowers the threshold for the neuropathy to be symptomatic in one leg such as arterial or radicular problems.
