Often none: A long time ago, kidney cancer was often diagnosed by flank pain, abdominal fullness, and blood in the urine. However, people rarely had all 3 symptoms. Nowadays, most people are diagnosed incidentally, when they are getting a ct scan for something else.

Gross hematuria: Or visible blood in urine, but this is a late symptom unfortunately. Most curable kidney cancers are found incidentally when an imaging study, such as ultrasound, ct, or mri, is done for an unrelated condition.
