Can take 3 months: Orthotics are often used to ease the pain associated with a flatfoot. They support the arch and can align the bones and joints better. They in no way cure a flatfoot just like a girdle does not strengthen a flabby stomach . Whether or not they ultimately help cure an ache depends on what is aching . Speak to your prescribing doc if do not help after 3 months may need adjustment or new treatment.

Orthotics: You want to make sure you were educated on using orthotics. You should slowly work yourself into them. One hour of use the first day and gradually increase your use everyday. If that does not help, the orthotics might have not been made correctly. They may have to be adjusted. Lastly, orthotics aren't made for everyone. Sometimes other more aggressive modalities are necessary such as surgery.

Orthotics: Orthotics are edesigned to be used all the time - not just working out . It could be as simple as you not using them enough hours in the day for the orthotics to help . See your podiatrist for guidance. Good luck.
