Lid Stye: Careful with the steam! the tissue of the lid and around the eye is more sensitive than other parts of the body. You do not want to burn the tissue. Rule of thumb is to use a clean cloth like a wash cloth or hand towel and use hot tap water to wet the cloth and test it on the back of the hand before applying it to the eyelid. Massage the lid with the hot cloth. Apply 10 minutes 6 times a day.

20x/day; takes 2-3d: The trick is to apply as much heat as possible, without burning your skin, as often as possible, as soon as sty noticed. If you do this 20-50 times per session (hot towel in hot water over your stye (avoid pushing on eye); re-heating when towel gets cold (like hot towel push ups), it will open the meibomian gland and allow the stye to resolve usually less than 3-4d. See eyemd otherwise. Good luck.
