Can i take prozac (fluoxetine) and propranolol? i'm on 20mg prozac (fluoxetine) and have 20mg of propranolol but haven't taken them together.

Monitor: Both are cleared by the liver so taking them together will enhance the effectiveness of each drug. Nothing will happen with Prozac (fluoxetine) but the Propranolol might cause lower blood pressure and lower heart rate. That being said, the current Propranolol dose is low so i don't suspect anything will happen. Just monitor your blood pressure and heart rate initially. If all is good, then you are ok.

Yes: This should be okay especially at those doses which are fairly low. If you feel dizzy or lightheaded, tell your doctor. Also, if you feel depressed or really fatigued, tell your doctor. Propranolol could bring out these symptoms.
