Caution advised: Will need to monitor heart rate, BP & electrolytes. Taking them together may increase the beta blocker (propranolol) levels --> may increase risk of lower bp, lower hr, heart block there may also be increased risks of lower sodium levels or SIADH (excessive anti diuretic hormone secretion which may cause fluid retention). Generally recommended to monitor closely or consider other tx alternatives.

Can interact: Fluoxetine can increase the affects of propranolol. So it depends on the dose used. It can be used safely together under the supervision of your physician taking that into consideration the dose may need to be adjusted.
