Need culture: If the urine has not been sent for culture to make sure the infection can be treated successfully with the antibiotic you have been given , that needs to be the first step. With emerging resistance of many bacteria to more and more antibiotics, you may need a different one. Also, make sure you take all of your medicine as prescribed, not just enough to get you to feel a little better.
