Don't worry: There is a long list of reasons why cardiac MRI might be ordered. But no matter what the issue at hand is, if you have normal left ventricular function (which may already have been assessed with echo), your prognosis should be good (although treatment of some particular problem may be required). If lv function is abnormal, there's a lot that can be done to help.
