talk to your doctor: You are receiving a topical medication that contains Hydrocortisone and antibiotic. Is it possible that this is not an allergic reaction. Sometimes after an allergic skin reaction you can develop increased skin pigmentation or dark patches which will improve over time. You need to discuss the diagnosis and treatment with your physician.

Allergic Reaction: Fucidin cream is antibacterial and epaderm cream is an emollient cream. Dark patches of skin are treated with hydroquinone which is a bleaching cream. The doctor may have been worried about a skin infection. The typical treatment for an allergic skin reaction is a cortisone cream if there is no infection.
