Stable polyps: In general, gallbladder polyps less than 1 cm that are stable in size over many years are of no concern and are left alone in the absence of symptoms.

Maybe: Depends on your symptoms. Why did you get the test (i assume ultrasound) in the first place? If you are having typical gallstone kind of pain, you should seriously consider surgery. Gallbladder polyps are typically made up of cholesterol, unlike polyps anywhere else in the GI tract, so they hardly ever become malignant; they act more like stones rather than tumors.
