Complex issues.: Symptoms which are unrelated to their size are ankle ankle swelling and discomfort/pain occasionally "restless" leg. Elevation and compression are conservative measures only. If very troublesome one needs definitive treatment. Personally i prefer ambulatory phlebotomy which I do in an office setting, local anesthesia without downtime.

Symptoms: Although the symptoms of restless legs syndrome is associated with varicose veins about 35% of the time, numbness is a less common symptom of varicose veins. Without visible varicose veins and pain, it is very possible that something else is causing her symptoms. If she has varicose veins that are visible then she should see a vein specialist to talk about other symptoms, precautions, and treatment.
