Many things: It could be any number of things from infection to gallbladder blockage (or both!) to autoimmune problems. See your doctor; liver failure is not something to just "wait and see".

Many Things: This is serious and you should have further evaluation. Other causes of elevated liver enzymes and jaundice are drugs (antibiotics, herbal products, etc), genetic liver diseases, autoimmune liver diseases, and other viral infections besides abc (like mono).
