Yes: Numerous issues can increase enzymes such as numerous meds and many other diseases. Also the ast and alt can also be elevated by certain muscle diseases.

Be very sure your physician remembered to rule out hemochromatosis and Wilson's. I trust alcohol and medications are not a possibility
