Fewer now : We normally see less dental caries than in the past but they are still found routinely. I have seen caries on most teeth with multiple cavities on single teeth. Mountain dew use is a common factor in many cases. Those using meth is a recent scourge that destroys teeth, rotting them out.

The future, not past: I would guess that you have many cavities. I hope this is not the case, but if it is, it´s more important to find out why you do have so many and not only have them all fixed, but find out what you need to do so that you don't ever get even one more. That is entirely possible. It requires good oral hygiene and a healthy diet. To answer your question, around 20.

32 IS TRUE: If you have all your teeth than 32 is the most cavities you can have but some teeth can have multiple cavities so since there are 5 surfaces on teeth 5x32 =160. Yes it's possible ask full denture weares.I've seen it and i'ts sad.

Cavities: There have been several people with decay present on all of their remaining teeth. And they already had some missing because of decay. This usually happens in drug addicted patients, but people on rx drugs can have this problem from drug induced xerostomia.
