Treating patients: Use a local anesthetic to make them numb. Then, regardless of their pain threshold, they won't feel anything. Using "sweet air" makes the visit even more relaxing, fast and easy. Go slow, one step and one visit at a time.

Low pain tolerance: Often there is also a trust issue with the patient. Let the patient know that any time during a procedure, they may raise there hand to have you stop. Ensure the patient has excellent local anesthesia. Use of nitrous oxide gas relaxes patients greatly. Excellent classes in this use are online. Lastly switch to a different local anesthetic may give better more profound anesthesia.
