There are no known: Screening criteria for marijuana use regarding lung cancer. The study was done regarding tobacco users. However, if you would be considered a 30 pack year smoker and had not quit within 15 years, screening begins at age 50.

Minimal: Good to hear you stopped smoking, marijuana or otherwise. Your chances of lung cancer now are probably the same as the general population. Screening for lung cancer iin your demographic has not been shown to be of benefit. If your are seriously concerned, or have symptoms such as cough, bloody sputum, weight loss, etc, check with your doctor about a cxr for an initial test.

You are at risk for: developing lung cancer in your lifetime. We do not currently know the conversion factor for pot smoking that is equivalent to 30pk/yrs of tobacco abuse but smoking pot probably exposes lungs to similar carcinogens as cigarettes Death of a first degree relative from lung cancer esp at young age puts you at significant risk Typically screening would start at 55 but considering family hx poss sooner
