A mass in the lung of an ex smoker is a serious finding and should result in some kind of diagnostic follow up. Waiting 3 months many not be in your best interest. Get a second opinion from another Dr. They will have you sign a release form that allows them to see your CT scan and medical records. They may also examine you. The next step may be a biopsy or other invasive test.
