A member asked:

Would a doctor who was hiv positive still be able to work?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Yes, no restrictions: I know several colleagues who are HIV positive and currently practicing medicine. There is no risk for patients to contract HIV from an HIV positive doctor as long as you're not having unprotected sex or sharing needles with someone who is HIV positive.
