Migration: About 8-10% of common bile duct stents migrate away from original placement into bowel..43% are evacuated from bowel normally. Rare percentage perforate the intestines because of obstruction and may cause bowel penetration is usually related to obstruction and can result in fistula , and abscess formation.Your physician should follow you closely for any complications if not normally evacuated.
