Depressive Disorders: I am not a fibromyalgia specialist but am throwing this info in for the sake of well -rounded discussion. I have read some articles that have suggested that fibromyalgia could also be classified with depression. Although I am not making a stand on this - it is clear that fibromyalgia & depression are often closely intertwined. Take care.

not autoimmune: There is no good evidence to suggest that fibromyalgia is an autoimmune disease. I will grant you that there is still a lot unknown about the disease.

Confusing: ? about relationships of autoimmunity & fibromyalgia. One way to look at relationship of these disorders is that people with autoimmunity can and do develop fibromyalgia; as a result of chronic inactivity due to autoimmunity pain. People with fibromyalgia do not develop autoimmunity as a consequence of having fibromyalgia; rather they develop autoimmunity irregardless of having fibromyalgia.
