Difficult.: Difficult to give you a meaningful answer without a precise question. Specifically, it would be helpful to know what type of “cosmetic surgery” you are referring to. For example, there are cases of young patients who present with congenital breast anomalies or prominent ears. Sometimes, these patients benefit from breast surgery or ear surgery (otoplasty) despite their young age.

Too young: It should not be considered. Psychologically and physically development is still occurring.

You choose!: Certain "cosmetic" procedures such as ear pinning, or birthmark removal marvin fact lead to a more stable psychological profile than if none were done!

Group decision: Cosmetic surgery is serious business at any age. More so at such a young age due to the possible sychological consequences. In my consultation, i evaluate the maturity of the patient and her understanding of the requested procedure . I also request consent from both parents and pediatritian. The benefits of surgery can be enormous as far as self esteem and confidence.
