Spinal cyst: Spinal cyst is a collection of cerebrospinal fluid and it can be characterized as either extradural (outside the dura) or intradural (inside the dura). Most of the spinal cysts are idiopathic, but they can be developed from congenital defect; arachnoid adhesion secondary to infection; trauma from lumbar puncture; or iatrogenic cause from injected contrast dye.
