Lower cholesterol: The current recommendations are to keep total cholesterol below 200, and LDL below 100. These are optimal scores. You don't need to be alarmed but considering you are so young you should take steps now to prevent the build-up of plaques in your arteries. The best way to do that is to keep your cholesterol at these targets, exercise regularly (3x per week) and eat a heart healthy diet.

High: Those numbers are high. If you have other risk factors like smoking, high bp, diabetes or family history it can lead to heart disease or stroke. Talk to an md to lower your risk.

Follow the following: Exercise most days of the week (aerobic work), eat fruits and vegetables liberally, limit saturated fats, increase fish and fish oil intake, have fiber with each meal, keep your weight in check, don't smoke at all or drink excessively (one or two drinks weekly). The lower the better on LDL and the higher the better on HDL. Could be diet, sedentary life, genetics raising your LDL.
