Probably not but...: Contrary to popular belief, cholesterol is not a major cause of heart disease; the real cause is inflammation. However, it is reasonable to look at the subtypes of LDL as if it is mostly the small dense type it is of some concern. You should test other risk factors like CRP, homocysteine and Lp (a).
