Go get checked : Hiv transmission is very high in individuals who have provided oral sex and have had semen that has touched areas beyond the anterior portion of the mouth. You should have the individual to whom you are providing oral sex wear a condom. Go and get checked for hiv, syphilis, gonorrhea, etc.

Some risk but..: Hiv virus is very weak but if there are bad gums associated with an HIV infected person, and a open sore wherever that saliva lands, there have been cases where the disease is passed on. His bad gums..Should be more a deterrent from face to face closeness than anything. Plus bad gums has been associated with lots of other health issues. Go see a dentist.
