Condoms & disease: Usually, if a condom is used in sexual acts, unless it's perforated or unable to block semen from overflowing into your mouth or vagina or rectum, you should be fine. Your bleeding gums may just be simple gingivitis and nothing more. If symptoms persist, or your worry is persistent, I would seek out the opinion of your MD and would advise your partner to have a formal workup to rule out herpes.
