Time: If the red area is confined to the sclera (the white part of the eye) and not involving the pupil or the inside of the eye, it is something yhou can just leave alone. It will resolve.

Observation.: If your vision is unchanged and the swelling is getting better, this sounds like a residual hemorrhage under the membrane that covers the sclera or white part of the eye. It should get better over the next week or two and may get yellow first as the blood breaks down to hemoglobin. If there is no improvement in the next couple of weeks, get it checked by an ophthalmologist.
