Age and LASIK: Most surgeons will provide laser vision correction for patients from age 18 or over. At age 29 - assuming that you are a good candidate - then lasik is definitely considered appropriate. The key is making sure that you are an appropriate candidate.

Depends: LASIK: Lasik should be done when the glasses rx (refraction) is stable & test show you a safe candidate. Risks include dry eye, glare & haloes, infection, corneal scarring, flap issues, need for enhancement, decreased vision, & other issues. The risk of these issues is uncommon and vision threatening complications are rare. See a conservative, experienced eyemd who cares about what is best for you.

Lasik results: Lasik should last a lifetime. The earlier that you have it done the more years of FREEDOM from glasses that you get. Lasik is treatment (surgery) on the eye to remove the blurred vision , especially from nearsightedness. My colleague did Tiger Woods Lasik. His will last a lifetime but even perfect Lasik does not stop ''old sightedness after age 40+..
