Please do not: Ssri (selective serotonin reuptake inhibitors) discontinuation syndrome refers to the symptoms one can experience when the drug is reduced or withdrawn. Common responses to dose reduction or cessation include dizziness, electric shock-like sensations, sweating, nausea, insomnia, tremor, confusion, nightmares, and vertigo. Please speak with your doctor before you change the dose of zoloft (sertraline). Be wel.

Discontinuation: As a general rule, antidepressants should be reduced little by little before stopping completely, to avoid discontinuation effects. This is the name given to a state of malaise, congestion, dizziness or tiredness, flu-like symptoms, etc. Produced by stopping the antidepressant suddenly. There is a chance that depression will return in within 3 to 6 months after stopping medications.
