How long do zoloft (sertraline) withdrawals last? i was on 50 mg zoloft (sertraline) for 4 and a half weeks and stopped cold turkey.

Depends: Dependent on the individual. One should not stop suddenly and should speak to your physician about a slow taper or whether you should stop in the first place, other alternatives, therapy etc.

Usually ends: within 1 to 2 weeks. SSRI discontinuation syndrome symptoms may include: flu-like sx’s, insomnia, nightmares, vivid dreams, anxiety, tearfulness, low mood, irritability, nausea, vomiting, cramps, loose stools, loss of appetite, dizziness, flushing, sweating, headache, lethargy, imbalance, vertigo, sensation of electric shocks & other sensory disturbances, & hyperarousal.
