No relationship: I don't see any relationship between having rct performed and alt \ ast levels. Having said that, there may be a relationship between your medical conditions, if any, along with any medications that you are taking. If you are concerned, speak to your dentist and physician for a more detailed answer as they both have more information on you available to them.

Not usuallly: Increased alt and ast levels are measures of concentrations of liver enzymes from liver damage [hepatitis]. They can also rise with muscle damage. If your root canal was unremarkable, for example no facial swelling or massive infection then you would look elsewhere to find the cause. Hepatitis caused by over use of a pain med containing Acetaminophen [tylenol] or viral infection..
