A very long time: I've had some of my fillings last 30 years. There is no specific life span for a filling. It varies based upon location, size, material, and eating and biting habits.

Depends: A well done and good filling can last you a lifetime. A poorly done and bad filling can cause you to loose the tooth. Do not try to get less expensive dentistry, because you will end up loosing your teeth due to the bad quick procedures used.
