Scars: Breast lifting, depending on the specific patient situation, involves removal of skin and is associated with scarring. Most patients (if properly selected and who are doing the operations and the right time of their lives psychosocially) accept the scars associated with breast lifting surgery as long as they are happy with the improvement in position and symmetry. There are a few: Mastopexy (breast lift) surgery is a great operation however the patient must be willing to accept the scars resulting from the surgery. All patients will have a scar around their areola. Most patients will have that scar plus additional scars running from the bottom of the areola to the fold at the base of the breast and even scar that lies in the fold at the base o the breast.
