Possibly: Nipple sensation changes can be unpredictable after surgery. Some patients experience increased sensation, others experience decreased sensation, while some have no change at all.

No: If the breast lift is done without placement of an implant, you should not lose nipple sensation. The surgical technique used in a breast lift can be accomplished without injuring the nerve that supplies sensation to the nipple. During a breast lift that involves placement of an implant, nipple sensation can also be preserved as long the surgeon is careful in making the pocket for the implant.
