Cigarette smoke: While the smoke from cigarettes is harmful, it is not an allergy. The multiple chemicals, gases and small particles cause an irritant reaction to a person's nose, eyes and lungs. Avoidance is always the best treatment. There are nasal sprays approved for treating non-allergic rhinitis that can provide relief.
