Probably won't help: Cortisone cream is not a recognized treatment for acne. See your doctor for other treatment options.

Cortisone for acne: It's ok to use occasionally, but don't start using it regularly. Cortisone is a topical steroid cream and over time it will worsen acne, thin the skin and cause other problems. It's great at getting inflammation under control quickly, but over the long term it is more detrimental than beneficial. Save it for emergencies, like the big zit on the end of your nose that appears before a big event.
