Soon hopefully: Even minor uti's can be painful, and the pain can last for 2-4 days while on antibiotics. Some dr's may rx pyridium, (phenazopyridine) a drug specifically for the first 2 days of pain while starting antibiotics (makes your urine orange). If your pain is severe, let your dr. Know, as you may need some further testing to rule out kidney stones, etc. Best wishes.
