See a doctor: Your symptoms are hopefully indicative of a minor problem, but abdominal pain radiating to the back should be thoroughly evaluated by a physician. There are several very severe conditions which need to be excluded from consideration, so do not neglect this. Hope you get better soon.

Check with your doctor: If the hernia is at the belly button, it can sometimes feel like pain associated with this radiates towards the back along something called the falciform or umbilical ligaments. See your doctor to find out more. Hope you feel better soon.

Radiation to back: Upper abdominal pain that radiates to the midback is suggestive of stomach, gallbladder, pancreatic or visceral organ inflammation. Umbilical herniae usually are painful only with contraction of the abdominal muscles, and usually don't radiate to the mid back. See your doctor for proper evaluation.
